The SHDSL.bis Orion3 modem family offers a complete range of solutions based on the latest standards (ITU-T G.991.2 & ETS TS 101 524) and is also compatible with other families such as Orion1, Orion2 and MiniFlex. The Orion3 family supports TC-PAM16/32 and the new TC-PAM4/8/64/128 inline encodings allowing symmetrical transmission up to 15.2Mbps over a single copper pair. In addition, the Orion3 family supports DSL channel bonding up to 4 copper pairs reaching speeds of up to 60.8Mbps.
Orion3 modems can provide up to 4 E1 interfaces in a transparent and structured format (G.703/G.704) as well as a 2 or 4-port 10/100BaseTX Ethernet managed switch with VLAN, RSTP and QoS support. In addition, the modems can be equipped with Nx64 interfaces (which can be configured by software between V.35, V.36, X.21 or V.24) and also RS-232/485 encapsulated over IP.
