Robustel's R5020 Lite offers next-generation cellular connectivity at a highly competitive price. Offering 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G global band coverage in a small footprint, the R5020 Lite enables rapid deployment of high-speed IoT applications across verticals as diverse as transportation, enterprise connectivity, and digital signage.
The R5020 Lite is Robustel's new 5G-compatible router that supports global 5G, 4G, and 3G bands. The R5020 Lite leverages our proven high-performance CPU platform and RobustOS 5, an operating system developed in-house by Robustel that has passed extensive third-party penetration testing.
R5020 Lite is compatible with 3GPP version 16 and is aimed at the following applications:
Failover : R5020 Lite can be configured to use Ethernet or Wi-Fi as the primary internet and switching to 5G/4G in the event of an outage. This can help bring resiliency to small stores and offices at a reasonable cost and provide enough bandwidth for many users. IPsec, DMVPN, GRE+ many more protocols can be used for connections to core networks.
Cellular router - Cellular network operators can now offer unlimited 5G tariffs at very reasonable prices. For many, the opportunity to cut cords and use a wireless internet connection can be technically or commercially advantageous.
SD-WAN : While many devices have built-in cellular options, the R5020 Lite can offer a very inexpensive way to add a 5G backup path, and by virtue of being able to locate outside of the device, you're more likely to get a good 5G signal!
RCMS is Robustel's free router monitoring service that is fully compatible with the R5020 Lite. It is an extremely polished piece of software hosted on MS Azure and available as a privately hosted instance.
