The AM3440 is a TDM/IP multi-service access node that comes in 3 formats, all of them for insertion in 19" with different capacities and heights. The AM3440 family allows traffic to be grouped into aggregates of type: 4xE1 electrical, 4xE1 multiplexed over a single fiber optic port or TDMoIP with the ability to encapsulate 4E1 over an Ethernet COMBO interface (electrical and optical). The AM3440 allows for redundant power supply and redundant controller. All cards are hot-swappable and an alarm relay is also available. The tax ones can be:

- RS232 (1 or 8 ports per card)
- G.SHDSL (1 or 2 ports per 2 or 1 pair card)
- Bridge/Router (2 or 8 10/100M Ethernet ports per card)
- FXS/FXO (4, 12 or 24 ports per card)
- E&M (12 channels of 2 or 4 wires)
- Relays (8 per card)
- TDMoIP (4 x E1 ports multiplexed)
