RAX721 – MPLS Pre-Aggregation Pizza-Box

The RAX721-A is a compact L2/L3 aggregation device that features 4 x 10G line SFP+ and 24 x 1G SFP client ports in a standard 1U 19" rack format. It is optimized for metro ethernet access and aggregation scenarios, dedicated lines, and aggregation of multiple services and clients. With support for MEF 2.0 services such as E-Line, E-LAN, E-Tree and E-Access and OAM and SLA capabilities, the RAX721-A greatly simplifies service delivery and subsequent monitoring for the access and transport operator or provider. The equipment also has extensive support for unicast and multicast L2/L3 functionalities, advanced QoS management, linear and ring redundancy as well as dual power supply.

As a result, the RAX721-A is a flexible and reliable device for aggregating services in carrier, enterprise, campus and residential environments. It enables the delivery of multiple services (Internet, VoIP, IPTV, video surveillance,...) across different network topologies.
